Unsanitary Acts

Today I was at the Municipal Government morning flag ceremony. Part of the program includes an opportunity for each department to report to the group at large. The new police chief has been very faithful in reporting the highlights of police activity for the previous week.

I almost laughed out loud when he reported the arrest and subsequent fine of an individual for unsanitary acts. Defined, that meant someone was urinating in public. It is common to see men peeing against a wall, standing on a wall and into a rice field, or nearly anywhere else. The other day Lisa and I were walking home and a man was standing in the middle of the bridge, peeing on the handrail. (He wasn't tall enough to make it over the rail.)

  1. This is Nat posting...

Well, timing is everything and mine is terrible! My post in no way refers to an 'unsanitary act.'

Wow the big 4-0, I can vaguely remember was last century after all! Congrats Bro hope it is a great day for you.

Adrianna, can't believe it, 15! Oddly enough I can actually remember being 15; it was the longest year of my life...waiting to turn 16 so I could get my driver's license. Ever since then tho, it seems like birthdays come all too quickly...just ask your Dad. I heard it said recently that life is like a roll of toilet paper, the closer it gets to the end, the faster it goes!

You are in a much more exciting place than I was at age 15 and am glad you have your Fam there to help celebrate it with you. Best wishes on a wonderful Birthday for you!

ps Say 'Hi' to your Mom and sisters for me.

  2. Well, hence the reason we got mad at our kids for using the railings..... when you are out and about in town.... don't touch anything! Boy, that brings back memories :)
Happy birthday Tom and Adrianna. Hope you have a great day!
